Erin Dawson leads the transformation team to optimize efficiency and implement plans for future growth at JELD-WEN.
“At JELD-WEN, we are using transformation to create a proactive and planful approach to our current state and future destination,” said Erin Dawson, vice president of transformation and network strategy.
Erin is at the forefront of JELD-WEN's transformation journey. JELD-WEN first began its transformation in 2023 and has already seen successful progress. Erin and her team continue to focus on both immediate action and future planning – all with a goal to strengthen the organization and move the business forward.
Two key elements of Erin’s role include improving cost efficiency and identifying opportunities for growth. The transformation has already generated success on both sides and continues to progress forward.
Celebrating achievements
“We have taken on 800 projects, and many of them have already seen success,” Erin noted. Erin leads the transformation team on initiatives supporting increased productivity and new customer opportunities.
One of these initiatives improved how customers order our special-order doors in retail stores, making it an easier experience with new displays and competitive pricing. By improving customer experience, we are seeing increased demand for our products.
In another project, teams reallocated and repurposed existing materials and machinery from JELD-WEN facilities to make an operation line more effective. This initiative resulted in a significant increase in production efficiency at a JELD-WEN plant. The teamwork and willingness of employees to work to optimize operations made these results possible.
“We have the necessary tools to go out there and win, and now I really want to do it – win. We’ve already seen a lot of wins and if we stay focused on our goals and prepare accordingly, we will continue to see more.”

Vice President Transformation and Network Strategy
An employee-centered strategy
Erin brings to the table a people-first mindset. She notes that without the support and innovative ideas of employees, transformation wouldn’t be possible. “We have employees who bring a lot to the table, and I’m focused on harnessing their great ideas and energy and giving them the proper structure and governance to drive them forward,” Erin said.
One of Erin’s proudest achievements at JELD-WEN is launching the transformation incentive program, which recognizes employees who go above and beyond. “Everyone at JELD-WEN works hard,” Erin notes, “but we want to recognize those who do the extra work. And I hope this encourages people to bring forward their ideas and continue dedication to our forward-moving strategy.”
Creating a roadmap for future success
“We have the necessary tools to go out there and win, and now I really want to do it – win,” Erin said. “We’ve already seen a lot of wins and if we stay focused on our goals and prepare accordingly, we will continue to see more.”
With Erin’s leadership, JELD-WEN is well-poised to navigate transformation and network strategy, setting the stage for future success. JELD-WEN is focused on enhancing operational efficiency and exploring opportunities for growth in the market. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, we will continue to build a resilient and forward-thinking business.
